“won’t do” is still the best project status

wait, what is it you might ask?

the tasks you literally will not do for a multitude of reasons.

perhaps it was silly to begin with.

it never got off the ground

project got backburner’ed (this is a word now)

it was never fully baked and or it was never a good idea, period

Studies* have shown that putting a “won’t do” status on your project board is proven to boost moral because how good does it feel to push something to that column?

*I am happy to actually do this study if someone wants to fund the research

tl;dr I have been at early stage companies for the last 10 years (yes I know that’s wild right what is time) and during that time I have learned/done A LOT and acquired many skills being at these pre-Series B companies. From launching a brand new platform in ~90 days, to being a one woman marketing team, to a one person design team…

Wellllllll (not shocking for those that know me) I lowkey love and thrive in fast-paced/smaller orgs where I can wear multiple hats and GSD. I love starting things and building for scale. I can get things up and running, while setting the team up for success as they hire and grow. allyssa-of-all-trades!

Imagine if a “head of product” or “head of marketing” was an “agency” you can hire to come in and GSD whilst building for the future. That’s State Champs.

I come in and get your marketing and/or product process off the ground while also (if ya need it) designing, positioning/messaging, creating landing pages, company swag design, decks, one-pagers, product processes, you name it (and I friggin’ love it)

Early stage companies are my jam and I am very excited to help all the pre-Series B folks.
